WOOD LANE NATURE RESERVE Near Ellesmere Shropshire

Wednesday 10th March  2010 - Whitchurch Branch - To celebrate 25 years of the Whitchurch Branch.  Miranda Krestovnikoff takes you on a whistle-stop tour of our coast.  Miranda is one of the resident wildlife experts on the BBC’s popular The One Show and award winning Coast. She has also presented Thames Wildlife Superhighway and Country Lives for ITV. Other BBC series include History Mysteries and The Nature of Britain.  The evening will also see the launch of a guide to Greenfields Nature Reserve.   Meet at the Talbot Theatre, Whitchurch Leisure Centre, Heath Road.  Doors, exhibition and bar 6.45pm  Miranda's talk 7.30pm  Adults £3 Children £2.  The event is supported by the Shropshire Grassroots Fund.   LATEST WOOD LANE NEWS 62  bird species were recorded at Wood Lane during February 2010  (Click HERE to view a summary) 107 bird species were recorded at Wood Lane during 2009.  The site was monitored on 343 days of the year.  A special thanks to Brian Purslow who contributed 41% of the bird sighting reports.
